I am unhappy that gm made a recall for the problem my silverado is exhibiting however since I do not live in the neighboring state I cannot have my problem fixed. I also live in the "salt belt" being in kansas, I live 20 miles from the state of mo. I am having the exact problem as the recall - 05v379000. I wish I knew who I could contact to aid me in solving this problem. It sounds like this results in a crash due to constant corrosion. If you look at statistics of kansas city. Went to move the truck, brake pedal went to the floor. Left rear line has a leak where the line runs along the frame by the fuel tank. About 2 years ago I had to have the front lines replaced because they were leaking.
Was driving up a boat launch when brake peddle went to the floor lucky we weren't on the higway.

We are experiencing unwanted abs activation at low speeds giving us no braking when activated. This vehicle has been serviced on !0/28/05 for abs recall #05068 at 75,484 miles this problem is re occurring for the last 18months. The vehicle now has 115,000 miles. I,ve noticed a new recall out #05v379000 for this issue. This braking issue was once in a while now to be every day and almost every complete stop. Could the manufacturer be required to fix this issue again at no cost to us? it does appear to us that gm fixed the issue the first time but not the problem,that caused the issue.
