Wheel problem #1

The abs light came on and the brake light. The power steering is bad and the steering wheel shakes when I brake, I got the brakes and rotors changed and the problem persisted.

Vibration in vehicle prior to tire blow out on freeway traveling approximately 70 mph. . Appears to be a tread separation type failure. Tires are bf goodrich all terrain ta ko baz with approximately 27000 miles on them. Size is lt265/75r16. Tires were rotated and checked for proper inflation by professional tire shop approximately 4 days prior to failure.

Wheel problem #3

Experienced tire separation at 70mph of a firestone steeltex radial a/t lt245/75r16 load range e m/s. Tire separation damaged the right rear quarter panel and forward rear quarter panel. Took the truck to a tire store to have the other tires inspected. The remaining tires where all found to be separating.

Wheel problem #4

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 hd. While driving the vehicle at a speed of 15 mph, the anti lock brakes engaged at a low speed. The contact had to constantly depress the brake petal until the brakes engaged. The contact confirmed the failure would occur when traveling at low speeds. The contact indicated the vehicle was experiencing the same failures as escribed in NHTSA campaign id number: 07v228000 (wheels). The dealer advised his VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle has not yet been repaired. The failure mileage was 32,000 and the current mileage was 35,000.
