Gm refuses to replace / extend warranty. Many other customers report same problem and recurring. Cost to repair. . . $5200. Gm should be required to recall parts, reimburse current and prior repairs.

While driving down the road the vehicle dies out, and quits running. It then becomes hard to steer and stop. It takes about 2 to 5 minutes before starting back up, sometimes maybe even longer. It dies out any where from 2 to 3 times a day, depending on how long and far I am driving. The speed varies from 10 mph up to 75 mph.

They replaced the crankshaft position sensor. The failure mileage was 56,463 and current mileage was 64,000. Updated 10/16/08 the consumer stated the 2002 models were recalled for this problem.
