Tl-the contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 hd equipped with kumho road venture a/t 245/75 r16 tires. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph, there was a vibration from the rear passengers side tire. The contact decreased the speed to 10 mph, and the rear passengers side tire blew up. The tire was replaced with spare, and taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the tread separated. The tire was replaced. The contact also stated while driving approximately 60 mph, the rear drivers side tire blew up. The tire was replaced with a spare. The tire was not replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 184,000. The approximate tire failure mileage was 14,000. Mf.
Driving silverado truck with goodyear eagle gt2 tires, less than one year and not many miles. Blow out to front tire, separation rip on side of tire-lucky I was not on freeway or would have lost control it happened so fast. If you have these tires, I would get new ones. Scary!.
