7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2011

On exceptionally warm days and the vehicle is in normal operating temp. The vehicle fuel system will loose its prime while parked for a short period of time. When starting the vehicle, the vehicle will not start due to the fuel system losing its prime. During the time while pushing down on the primer plunger, desiel fuel leaks around the plunger making priming the fuel system difficult. Several attempts to prime the fuel system, the vehicle will eventually start. Again, this happens on warm to hot days and after the vehicle sits for less than an hour or so. Once the vehicle is primed and finally started, the vehicle will run normally. This only happens after the vehicle has been parked for a period of less/more than an hour.
