The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 hd. Last fall, while driving approximately 5 mph in the rain, the windshield wipers would only operate at high speed. The contact stated that the windshield washer would not pump fluid as well. As of late, the failure has worsened. The dealer stated that the vehicle was out of warranty and the contact needed to pay for a diagnostic. A local mechanic stated that the computerized control for the washer needed to be replaced. The cost for parts and labor would be $500. The current mileage was 30,150 and failure mileage was 23,000. Updated 12/12/07.
