Tl-the contact owns a 2005 chevorlet silverado. The contact stated that their spouse turned the air conditioner on in the truck grey smoke emerged through the vents. The hood of the vehicle caught on fire autimatically. The fire department was informed and they put the fire out. The fire deprtment was not aware of how the fire was started. The root of the problem a bad motor blower resister fan. The vehicle was towed to the nearest tow lot where it was deemed destroyed. There were no injuries, the dealer was not informed the vehicle was not repaired the manufacturer was not informed. The failure mileage was 150,000. Jw.

The truck was parked in driveway. Driven 20 minutes prior for 10 miles. Erupted into fla message under hood. Fire police unable to determine cause to badly damaged. Total loss.
