Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact owns stated that the vehicles dash had two cracks one across the instrument cluster and another across the passenger side air bag. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they diagnosed the dash needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. Kh.
The dashboard on my truck has cracked in the middle and leading around the passenger side air bag. I am concerned if in an accident and the passenger airbag deploys, it will be ripped or destroyed by the sharp edges of the cracked dash defeating its life saving potential. This is a severe safety concern and I would like gm to recall and replace the cracked dash in my truck.
Dashboard is cracked above the instrument panel and the corner of the passenger side airbag. This is a known persistent problem with gm vehicles. Got quoted over 700 dollars to replace it.
