general problems of the 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21v050000 (air bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recall. It's been 2 years since I received the first notification. At that time, I contacted the dealer and they said that the recall was active but they were running out of parts to fix the problem. So, I contacted gm customer service and they said that takata was working on it and they would send a notification once the parts available. I saw the alert on dash board a few times but I was waiting for the notification until today 02-12-18. I was checking my correspondence and I found a notice from tk holdings inc. About the bankruptcy proceeding in japan. So, I contacted again the dealer and they said the same. No parts to fix it!! what else should I do? I don't want to be at risk if my vehicle is not safe in case of an accident.

Takata recall this recall was issued 5/27/2016. No remedy has been made yet. The recall says that the NHTSA granted them until August 2017 to have a remedy, yet none exists.

I was notified of the recall but gm has failed to make the parts and labor available. Now I have been notified that tk holdings are in chapter 11 and I doubt if anything will remedy this defect.
