Other Fuel System Pump problems of the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

In 2017 my bosch cp4 fuel pumped failed, mark christopher replaced due to recall. While driving 70 mph on the freeway on September 1, 2020 my truck completely shut down, had a complete loss of power, and power steering was lost. Had to make my way to side of freeway and call for a tow. This was the second failure of the bosch cp4 fuel pump, which was installed three years prior. Mark christopher Chevrolet and gm will not replace under recall. Knowing that this is recalled product they are fusing to replace it.

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. While driving 10 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that there was metal contamination in the fuel system due to a fuel pump fracturing in the fuel tank. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 35 mph to access the highway on a ramp, the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road. The vehicle was not able to restart and the contact towed the vehicle to an authorized dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The dealer mentioned that the fuel pump fractured and debris went through the fuel system causing internal damages. The contact was waiting for the dealer to repair the vehicle and they indicated that the repair would be extensive. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
