Shifter cable came off the linkage.
Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 5 mph, the steering wheel seized. As a result the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole. A police report was not filed. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. Djr.
This has occurred twice now. Going at slow speed, such as 5 to 10 mph making a turn and the steering goes out making the truck difficult to turn. It is like the ignition switches off and then 5 to 10 seconds later the switch comes back on. Very scary when this occurrs!.
