general problems of the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

There has been serious problems regarding the stabilitrak system from gm motors.

Steering great box replaced steering still not stable, electrical glitches such as stability trac service message, hill assist, breaking assist messages pop up and then disappear constantly, power steering pump, hydro boost and master cylinder replaced multiple times, no sound emitting for seat belt, door chime , turn signals with no accessory mode power when key is turned. Vehicle has been in and out of shop for repairs and noone can figure out the sound or electrical issues and keep replacing the steering and power steering components. When using driver side window switch all dashboard lights increase in brightness then dim back down.

Brake pedal gets hard no brakes pops back up all brakes lock up and throws u forward and then works fine for a day or 2 then same thing changed hydro pump 2 brake booster one and the last time it was changed good for two days then issues with my brakes again haven’t even made first payment yet and check engine light because a glow plugs out.

Slop in the steering wheel.

My 2015 Silverado 2500hd pick up's power steering occasionally stops working all together at low speed right hand turns. The latest incident was last night at 116390 miles I was turning off the main road into a gas station and I came very close to hitting a car that was exiting at the same 2 lane exit/entrance. Scarry!!.

Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving at low speeds making a turn into the driveway the steering wheel became difficult to turn without warning. . While making a slow speed right turn, 5 mph, after stopping at a busy city street intersection, the power steering turned off and I nearly struck another car coming from the opposite direction because I was unable to turn my vehicle out of the way even when I used all my strength to turn. I have experienced this problem intermittently, always while attempting a right turn at slow speeds. It has happened mostly on city streets and while attempting to make a tight, right turn into parking stalls. The problem was reported to my local Chevrolet dealer but, they were unable to replicate the problem and stated they could not fix it for that reason in June 2019. I returned the truck to the dealership today, 7/1/2019, for another attempt to repair. Waiting for a resolution. While driving & trying to turn steering to the right , the steering just locks as if no power steering. This does not happen all the time but when it does it is very dangerous. The vehicle has 40. 000 miles on it & I didnt expect to have a safety issue like this. I had taken it to a dealer & they tell me it will be very expensive to fix.

Loose power steering assist briefly on low speed turns this has happened 3 or 4 times over 60k miles did not think much of it until I saw recall of 2014 models.

Losing power steering at low speed turns. Has almost caused several accidents.
