Had new western wideout snowplow (recommended by western) installed by western dealership on a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd with snow plow prep package. Vehicle's instrument cluster, hvas, radio and other electrical systems cut out while operating snowplow. Gm is well aware of this issue which has been discussed and documented per gm service bulletin no. : pit5387c (Feb 2016)- pit5387p (10/17/2024), as well as gm upfitter integration ui bulletin #124k (11/7/2019). Western states the fix for this issue is for gm to supply and install a wiring harness (per the above gm bulletins) gm dealerships as well as gm consumer assistance hotline state that gm part number 84043394 (fitting 2014-2019 vehicles) referenced to in pit5387 and other bulletins has been discontinued. Therefore gm can not nor will ever be able to obtain or install this wiring harness in the future. Gm upfitter integration bulletin #124k instructs to install a different part number 84288774 vyu snow low jumper harness per the latest version of gm service bulletin pit5387. "note: that this jumper harness and installation will be provided (one time) without charge. " gm dealerships state pn 84288774 does not appear in their system as a valid gm part. Parts. The official gm parts store at [xxx] , list this part but shows it does not fit this vehicle. Therefore neither gm nor western is able to provide any actionable solution to this known safety issue. Western (and other manufactures) still manufacturing, recommending and installing snowplows for this specific vehicle. Gm, manufactured, sold, promoted, advertises and continues to recommend snowplows to be installed on these vehicles (with the gm factory snow plow prep option), and continues to issue bulletins instructing gm dealerships how to fix this issue despite being fully aware gm cannot supply these parts. Therefor gm has made it impossible for gm to honor their own warranty that still currently in effect, for a known saftey issue. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act.

Electrical connections not sealed at horn assembly leads to corrosion and horn to stop functioning.
See attached. Hot line operator told me to enter my tow vehicle VIN # since my RV VIN did not work. This report is to alert you to "potential" and/or "unreported" issues related to alde RV heating components. I have evidence there have been "leaks" but do not know what if injury they have caused. The manufacture may keep records. . . If they will share them. I was told by the consumer protection agency this type of issue comes under your jurisdiction: if not, please advise. Another issue not included in the attached document relates to battery ventilation concerns in nucamp rvs. Is this something you are responsible for?.
Loose steering 4 inches each way from center while driving. Problem with steering box adjusting screw backing out before and after locktite being applied. Problem has reoccur several times with less than 30,000 miles on stock truck.
Lock system failure- child's finger caught in door. Vehicle was parked in my garage. We were preparing to go to school. Both front doors were open, my daughter was placing her backpack in front floorboard for school. While doing so, I reached in and started the truck. The locks automatically engaged. She pushed the frt passenger door to, but caught the fisrt joint of her thumb in the door jamb. The door remained in the half latched position. Even after unlocking the vehicle from the inside, we were not able to get the lock to physically disengage and allow the door to open to free her finger. The entire time she was screaming, and out of desperation she yanked her thumb out. Her entire thumb is swollen, and black and blue on the end. I absolutely despise this locking feature on the truck- it is enough to make me consider returning the vehicle- and I have only had it for 6 months. I purchased this truck new in March 2016 from franklin, TN. It was a service loaner with 4700 miles on it at the time.
My vehicle vibrates and shakes at varying speed but mostly between 60 and 75mph. I have been to dealership three times for diagnosis and tires replaced twice. The dealership tested the vehicle with sensors and can not isolate the vibration. I have only had vehicle a few months and question the safety of the vehicle. I wish I had researched the truck on the internet prior to purchase because the problem I am having is known and has a name "the chevy shake" I hope others will continue to report these concerns because Chevrolet needs to recognize they have a problem and address the issue without the runaround customers are being forced to endure. The vehicle issue needs a recall.
