Service stabilitrac keeps coming on and sometimes when it comes on it flashes and every time it flashes it applies the right front brake pulling the truck to the right. When you go to slow down to pull over the anti lock brakes turn on until you are almost completely stopped and once the stabilitrac light comes on steady and stops flashing it will not do it any more until you turn the truck off and reset it. It mainly does it on the highway at higher speeds but it has done it in town also. No pattern to when it does it sometimes I may drive 100 miles before it does it and sometimes it comes on as soon as I cut the truck on and take off. It has come on when stopped and foot on brake getting ready to leave. Have had it to the dealer to be fixed but so far they have not been able to figure out exactly what is the problem.
Purchased the truck from car geeks and they said it was a great truck and we would have no problem towing our fifth wheel trailer. Well we took it on a trip to phoenix from tucson and we noticed that the truck was not handling very well when we got home I noticed that the passenger side tire was gouged out all the way around the inside bead of the tire also noticed that only the upper control arm had been replaced and nothing else. All of the front suspension was in really bad condition also. Along with the steering you can only turn the steering wheel a little ways.
Tl- the contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the stabilitrak warning light illuminated, the vehicle was pulling from right to left. The contact coasted to the side of the road, powered off the engine, waited a minute restarted the vehicle and was able to drive. The contact stated that the failure recurred after driving three to four minutes. The vehicle was driving to the contact residence. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 88,000. Aw.
Randomly while driving, warning bells & lights flash, message in dic state service stabilitrak/traction control. Instrument cluster goes dead, a/c quits cooling & radio quits. If the vehicle is in motion it will continue to be drivable. As soon as you stop or are stopped when it occurs, the transmission stops working. The engine continues to run, and can be revved however the vehicle will not move. After turning off the ignition, opening the driver's door and waiting a couple of minutes, you can restart the engine, the gauges and transmission will once again operate. It has now started to periodically cause the driver side low beam headlight and driver's door lock to not function as well.
When towing a 15,000 pound 5th wheel camper at highway speeds, the truck's trailer brake system and stabilitrac system will (without any warning) shut off, leaving the driver without any way to activate the trailer brakes. Neither system will re-activate without first stopping truck, shutting it off, unplugging the camper 7 pin, and then driving about a 1/2 mile. This issue first occurred at approximately 24,000 miles and continues to this day. The truck now has 44,000 miles. Chevrolet has looked at the truck twice, but was unable to determine what the issue is. I have isolated the problem to occurring when I pass under certain low hanging high voltage power lines. There are two locations where the problem consistently occurs when I pass under the power lines in either direction. Replicating the problem shouldn't be an issue.
Been having problems slowly with the battery running out because something is still running in the vehicle but everything is off. The gas gauge gear control lighting on the panel door on the passenger side will not lock speedometer is not working gas gauge is not working was checked by a mechanic and he address that something is not constant running even though everything is turned off that cause the battery to run down when it is off. Also the lights don't light on the right side stays on and never goes off when running the vehicle. I noticed this on a lot of 2500 chevy trucks. We have taken this vehicle in to be check. Tl the contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that the electronic stability control indicator illuminated. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 125,000.
While driving down highway at 70 mph, stabilitrac light comes on and truck rapidly grabs to the right and suddenly you are on the shoulder fighting to get back on road, truck also starts to decelerate and hard to accelerate.
I bought this truck new . I continue to have problems with the body control module, bcm this unit effects everthing . I had to replace when the truck had 35k miles now the dealer tells me that I have to replace again at 138k . Because the everthing goes on and off the door locks again going up and down and the truck will just shut down while driving come to a stop turn it off and cranks up now the left side windows are not working and the dash lights are going on and off and the door locks acting stupid same thing that was happening before . I talk to other people and they have the same issues . Big guy sticking to the little guy thanks.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. After starting the vehicle, only the external roof led cab light on the passenger side would illuminate, but the driver side light would not. The contact indicated that the failure was intermittent. Also, after starting the vehicle, the service traction control, service stabilitrack, service trailer brake system, and abs warning indicators illuminated. The cause of the failures was not determined. The manufacturer was notified, but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not notified. The failure mileage was 38,000.
With my 03 chevy silvarado 2500 hd this reduced power engine light comes on. Shuts the vehicle off to 30 mph. This happens on a regular basis. Does not matter where your driving. Especially on a highway. The truck will jerk one way or the other then u have no speed no control for a little bit . Very dangerous. Have to pull over when you gain control shut the truck off. Then wait about a couple minutes then start the truck and off IL go. Happen about 5-6 times a day now. This problem can not be fixed,even if you go to a dealer they will replace all the sensors for the throttle you will spend a small fortune and the problem still persists. This is a serious problem and a very dangerous problem and happens to many of these trucks. Look it up on youtube or google it. Im very surprised not to see this on the complaint board. Please if you have this problem post it so it can be recalled. I travel with my dog all the time and if something happens to him it would be very traumatic to me. What if you have children or guests in your truck. Its wrong that this issue is not being addressed. I have complained to this company and also to Chevrolet to no avail. Im worried someone has to be hurt bad or killed to have this matter taken seriously. Wow the truck has a recall for the tailgate wires. The bumpers are crapp and rusty junk but no recall there as well. Please take this serious and all complain about it cause this is very dangerous. I hate this and I refuse to spend money on some defect in the electrical system. This needs to be recalled an absolute must. I know im not the only one so please post your complaints about this reduced engine power light that randomly comes on without warning. I know you would not want to be towing with this problem. Also you will not be able to resell this vehicle honestly. You will have to lie to someone and if they get hurt or you get sued that will not be good.
