Side/window Air Bag Problems of Chevrolet Silverado 2500

I have had several electrical issues as wiring harness rub through behind the left cylinder head,right side of dashboard cracking above passenger side airbag which was reported and nothing done as replies ,I see this as a danger to me and passengers as it may blow up and hurt or kill occupants and electrical issues are a fire hazard as personal safety .

The dash has began to crack around the passenger side airbag. I am affraid if an accident was to happen and that airbag had to deploy it would send broken plastic in my family or myself face or could tare the airbag. I realize this is a well known and documented problem and there has been countless people who have been dealing with the same problem and feel this should no doubt be a recalled issue.

Takata recall truck was sold by autonation with active recall for passenger side airbag recall on December 16 2015 that neither general motors that says you can not buy vehicles with recalls and autonation that will not release truck to me that I paid for and signed all papers. Recall was issued for this truck June 2015 so it has been 11months in a few days and three and half since I bought /paid for vehicle. How long do I have to wait for this part? what if my vehicle was in an accident would I have my truck repaired or have to wait till they have remedy available as whey keep stating reason I can not have my truck no part/remedy available. Laws need updated to make manufactures quickly fix these recalls. Recalls that as gm states is a liablity or safety issue that can cause deaths should have a limited at most of six months, not almost a year or longer. We could buy other 2008 Chevrolet silverado with recalls and drive them off the lots of a number of dealerships with no problems.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact owns stated that the vehicles dash had two cracks one across the instrument cluster and another across the passenger side air bag. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they diagnosed the dash needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. The dashboard on my truck has cracked in the middle and leading around the passenger side air bag. I am concerned if in an accident and the passenger airbag deploys, it will be ripped or destroyed by the sharp edges of the cracked dash defeating its life saving potential. This is a severe safety concern and I would like gm to recall and replace the cracked dash in my truck.
