The contact was driving approximately 60 mph when the tread separated from the rear passenger tire. The failure caused damages to the rear passenger side quarter panel. The contact was advised by the manufacturer to report the failure to his insurance company. The tire was replaced and the vehicle was repaired. The failed tire was a replacement tire.
