Engine misfires and is downgraded to 25 mph on highway. Engine knocks and rattles. Problem is a known failure on a good share of 2004. 5 through 2005 duramax diesel trucks where #2 and #7 fuel injector harness fails. Mfg know this is a problem and will not fix the truck until the problem has surfaced. This problem could result in rear end collision on highway. They do not honor the warranty which states 5yrs. ,100,000 miles. Cost $504 my cost. I have a complaint lodged with the better business bureau of CT. 1) normal use of hvac in automobile 2) approximately every 15k miles. ( occurred @15k and 32k) potential fire hazard. Melts plug/wiring for blower and gets extremely hot . Burning smell noticed. I was able to identify problem and turn off the blower before fire started on both occasions. 3) replacement of damaged plug and install correct resistor. Improper resistor value installed at production and is mis-matched with blower motor causing repeated failures until corrected.
