The fuel transfer pump, which moves fuel from the rear tank to the front tank has malfunctioned. This has caused the fuel gauge to read inaccurately, causing engine to stop running, has illuminated the service engine light multiple times, displaying code p2068 and p0463. Vehicle can run out of fuel unexpectedly, due to gauge showing more fuel than is available. This has caused the engine to stall unexpectedly. This problem is exactly as described in recall document 13421 from gm, however, the VIN number of my vehicle is not included in the recall. I had an independent auto repair shop verify the cause of the service engine light codes, and their findings are consistent with mine. The vehicle has 98,000 mile. I am the original owner. I have spoke with gm customer service department, who is looking in to this, however has not yet responded to my complaint. I am awaiting their response in the next 24 hrs. Thank you.
