The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to upshift while depressing the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic and was diagnosed with a stuck torque converter. The contact stated that dtc code: p0741 was retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
The return line from the transmission cooler is rubbing on the bumper mount bracket. My vehicle has just over 9000 miles on it and the cover around the line is already worn through. The way the line is mounted offers no flexibility to push it away from the bumper bracket. This will eventually lead to a failure of the return line on the transmission cooler. I was informed of this issue by a post on a public forum. The person that posted this issue had a failure of the return line in the same spot due to the same issue.
