The contact owns a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. While driving 30 mph, the contact noticed that the oil pressure began dropping and the service engine light illuminated. He stated that diesel fuel was entering into the crankcase. He took the vehicle to a Chevrolet dealer regarding a recall notice he received in 2004 for the fuel injectors. He showed general motors the notice before the repair was made. After the repair was performed, general motors learned that he had a salvage title and informed him that he had to pay $4,800 for the repair. The contact stated that the recall notice never stated anything about the vehicle being a salvage vehicle. The vehicle is currently in gm's impound lot because the contact cannot afford to pay for the repair. The purchase date and recall number were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 96,000.

2 Fuel Injector problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 3500

Failure Date: 03/07/2007

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact noticed that smoke was rising from the rear of the vehicle, the exhaust pipe. The vehicle was brought to the dealer for a diagnostic test, and the dealer determined that the fuel injector failed. The fuel injector was previously replaced three times. 3 Fuel Injector problem of the 1996 Chevrolet Silverado 3500

Failure Date: 10/08/2001

The contact owns a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. While driving at any speed, the vehicle shuts off without warning and has to be restarted. Occasionally, the vehicle fails to restart.
