The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, while attempting to start up the vehicle, the vehicle would not start immediately. The vehicle was making an abnormal knocking sound. The vehicle would jerk before starting. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who inspected the vehicle and diagnosed the failure as an issue with the fuel. The mechanic attempted to change the fuel injector to fix the failure however, the fuel continued to flow. The mechanic recommended that the contact reach out to the local dealer to have the vehicle inspected to and repaired. The contact reached out to local dealer to have the vehicle inspected but the dealer informed the contact that they would need to call back in two weeks to schedule appointment which the contact attempted several times but was never able to schedule the appointment. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
