Wiper Problems of Chevrolet Sonic

If you are driving in the rain and you have your high beams on the doors will unlock. The wipers will turn off, the rpm's race high accelrating the car into almost a spin if you do not counter correct the steering. The engine and radio shuts off at random times as well. Had a diagnostic check done, nothing wrong with the engine, electrical systems, battery or alternator. Was told it is a manufacturer is with the computer system, but NHTSA will not address the issue until someone get's killed, so general motors will not fix it, until they are in probate court. As a leo this is unacceptable behavior, especially after our government just bailed them out again with our tax money.

Today I'm writing in behalf of carite of oakland park I had a email chat with brian mccoy the branch owner of the company, I was told by him that the car was put in as repo status, due to me giving the car back. I feel my life was put in danger numerous of times and due to the negligence of the company I was not given a reliable vehicle nor was I treated as a valued customer. . . Good day, I've made all attempts regarding this situation with carite I'm the time allowed. . I'm requesting a full refund of my money I've made it clear and I don't want nothing else from these people at this company. I've told the owner not to have the car delivered on today 2/8/20 he still insist the driver greg to do so, I've rejected to receive the vehicle instead of honoring my request I'm getting phone calls from other parties at carite I guess to reconsider! no, I want my money my life will not be in danger due to they're negligence. . Thank you,the items submitted are receipts of payments also, the day of 1/20/20 I drove to fort lauderdale on the accept ion of getting the ac repaired and the windshield. Nothing took place for being there for 6 hours only to head back home exhausted��� and to finally get 50 miles home the car started to blow white exhaust from the vents, I immediately called carite and spoke with kim, who's in responsible for repair and maintenance. I told her what was going on and that I've had enough. I get home, wake up the next day to go to a dr appointment only for the car to not star! I lift the hood so my neighbor could give me a jump and this is what I find under the hood. . ( the pliers next to the battery that was left there and I drove home with it on the car that's alone it's enough puts my life in danger. . .

Evap purge solenoid stuck open causing car to stall out while driving down the highway- streets. If stopped at a light or had to slow down it would cause the car to stall in mid intersection and put myself and family in danger of getting into an accident. Windshield washer unit stopped working causing my windshield to impair my visibility not once but twice now. Dash lights keep dimming sometimes when I start the car and sometimes while im driving down the road causing it hard to tell the speed and fuel level but doesnt do it all the time it comes and goes.

It was a foggy night I had just got off work I started my car like any other normal day/night except this night I used my rear defrost I proceed to leave my job as I been to get off the on ramp to the highway my entire back glass explodes and bust out causing glass to shatter everywhere and leaving me without a rear window and costly repairs. I'm not sure if there is a recall on this but there definitely should be as this can cost many people thousands of dollars if everytime the rear defrost is cut on there a possibility my window could bust and I get covered with glass.

When starting our 2017 Chevrolet Sonic there is exhaust fumes that are very strong that even make it into the interior of the car. The exhaust when idling will have a loud rattle and will both accompany the exhaust fumes and at times when there isn't the strong exhaust fumes. We have also recently had to start turning the traction control off and watching to make sure it stays off because it will randomly activate on dry pavement and we will have to hold tight to the steering wheel or it will jerk the vehicle in a different direction and has almost caused car accidents on three separate occcasions.

I am having problems with my windshield wiper fluid the hose or something is causing the fluid to drain on the ground I explained to bradley Chevrolet in franklin indiana that this has been a recall issue but they stated that my VIN number wasn't in the recall but I am having the same issue that is dumb I want this work completed under the recall and fixed and I am having a lean code of po171 come up that onstar diagnosed and bradley doesn't want to even look at it without charging me a diagnostic fee when I already have the code feeling very frustrated please help me.

I purchase my car March 2012. Had have been taking it to dealer about the washer fluid not staying in bottle. They told me nothing was wrong. Then took it again for transmission slipping into gear they said again nothing was wrong. Now the transmission is not working and they say the recall is not for my car cause there website says so. It stopped moving on the highway with me having a 2year old in back seat. I finally got my fluid to stay in bottle by some other mechanic.

Passenger side wiper has gap between driver side water runs down windshield in a stream on all wiper speeds. Distracts visibilty. Reported to dealer and Chevrolet.

Put car in reverse heard a loud noise. Control arm was bent. Has worn out my new tires due to alignment denied by dealer due to this.

When the temperature drops around 0°-15 the windwasher fluid will not spray out of the nozzles because the nozzles freeze up on the car. . So when you're going down the highway you cannot use your window washer fluid it will not spray out of the car and you can't see anything because the window doesn't become clean from road salt. . I have call gm on this issue and there is no recall and they won't do anything about it.

The senor codes keep coming on. Had it 3months in shop to reset 3times. Now thermostat or senor bad. Wipers didn't work one day after I brought it. The hoses disconnected from hood area. Had to drive home in rain with head out window. The rpm keeps sticking while I'm driving it. I live on s. S. So I don't have a lot of bucks to keep putting in this car. I traded a good car in chev avero with nothing wrong with it. The dealer charged me to much for this car and wont take it back. You ask for date it been going on since Dec 2015 to April 2016.

While driving on the highway during a rain shower at about 60 mph, while using the wipers, the driver's side wiper made a loud crack sound and fell off! I was unable to see and nearly hit the vehicle in front of myself. Since it was late Saturday night, I stopped at a local parts store (advanced auto) and purchased a new wiper. When the clerk inspected the blade, he found that the wiper arm does securely attach with the wiper itself. I was driving at night and it was warm outside. . . . . So bugs caked onto the windshield. When the bugs caked onto the windshield I tried to use my windshield cleaner and nothing would come out and I ended up smearing the bugs. I absolutely could not see. . . . So I made it to the nearest gas station and checked the reservoir to find it empty. I went into the gas station and bought a cheap bottle of clean and put it into the reservoir, and as soon as I put it in a puddle drained from underneath the car. I found that the reservoir could not hold the liquid and I figured that a hose must be loose.

I have owned a 2013 chevy Sonic for about 6 months now. The other day I went out to drive, so I started my car with my key fob. As I was about to drive away I reached up with my right hand to turn on the wipers. I hit the fob fairly hard and it caused the key to turn, which in turn shut off the car. Luckily I was not driving when I went to put the wipers on. Even more lucky was that I wasn't driving and hit it hard enough to lock the steering. I've heard that this was an issue in other vehicles and it was resolved by separating the key away from the fob so that the fob dangled instead of creating a long, solid key that could cause the issue which happened to me. You would think with all the ignition issues gm has had, they would have covered all possible problems, but obviously not. I feel the only solution would be to separate the fob from the key so that it does not lock and extend so much that it becomes an obstacle when using the controls around it. The key should be separate from the fob. Whether put on the same key chain or not, that would be up to the consumer.

I went to go some place when I noticed the passenger side of my windshield cracked. There is no chip indicating that something had hit it. The crack seems to have started from the edge of the windshield. It seems that the windshield had twisted. The crack is approx 8 to 12 inches and circles into an up side down u. I believe gm should look into this problem. I have checked to see if gm has a recall and they do not.

First of all the windshield wiper line keeps popping of of my car not allowing me to use my windshield whipper fluid so the tank is always empty. Second while driving my car radio flickers on and off and sometimes completely goes black not only that my car speedometer is electrical and after 30 min of driving says im going 20/34/whatever mph it wants to read when im really going the hwy speed limit and I have often had to mess with the wires that run to my battery to turn my car back on since its the wires(electrical work and not the battery) my battery has been tested many times. Finally third the little shift button on my car keeps sticking and wont allow for my car to properly shift causing my car to over rev and not want to drive. Im now at 115,000 miles and every time I go to a dealership they say there is nothing wrong with my car when I know there is since I have been the one driving it and then they just give it back to me which still costs me money with no solution my cars state has just been getting worse and worse and due to limited income I cant afford to get a new one at this time otherwise I would have already traded this chevy pos in. I also called Chevrolet's corporate office where the lady gave me a case number and never called me back like she was supposed to. While on the phone with her she told me that there was nothing she could do for my car since my car wasnt a reacall but I find it odd that my car was made on February 28, 2012 which falls between two major recalls with problems similar to what my car has especially since one is the windshield wiper recall. So I believe that the chevy corporation as a whole doesn't want to take responsibility for their faulty car that they have made and when you take it to a chevy dealership they will continue to tell you nothing is wrong so that they just take your money and not fix your car. Unsafe&immoral.

After purchasing my chevy Sonic 2012, I went to get my first oil change 3 months later. And the engine light came on. I have gone back multiple times, and have been told that it was the gas cap which by the way had a recall on it. The light came back on a week later. Took it back they said that the one they replaced it with had a bad seal. They ordered the part replaced the cap. Drove for another two weeks and the engine light came back on. Took it back, this time they told me that the car needed a thermostat replacement done the light came back on again. Took it back this time, I was told that it was a air vent tube that was connected to the engine, which by the way is not covered under my power train, did that and yet again the light is back on. Now my radio goes on and off when it wants to. When I get up to go to work my battery is dead. They have also replaced the drivers air bag for some sort of recall. The windshield wipers was replaced as it also had a recall. I really want to trade this car in I am literary scared to drive it. Scared driver. . . . . . . . . . .
