Ever since I bought the vehicle in 2021, I have had problems with the car jerking and air conditioning problems, mostly during the colder months. I took the car in multiple times on different occasions throughout the years. They would "fix" the problems with the transmission, then a month or two down the line the issues would come back. This last time, the car started stalling on the and turned off completely. The air conditioner never worked because of the transmission as well.

There was a recall issued for my daughter’s chevy Spark back in August 2022. The dealer said there is still no fix available. This seems like a long time to me.
Gm has failed to remedy this recall in a timely manner.

Gm still does not have a fix for the hood latch recall, and it has been 6 months.
I have not experienced an incident yet but the recall of the hood latch was first brought to my attention in August 2022 and it is now January 2023 with no remedy being proposed. It still says "recall incomplete, remedy not available" -- meanwhile it's been more than 6 months, which should be plenty of time to make these arrangements! I don't drive on the freeway very often but every time I do I worry about my hood opening while I'm driving 60+ mph. When is this going to be fixed??.

Manufacturer has not issued a remedy for the recall yet. The secondary hood latch striker is getting more and more corroded (especially in michigans wet climate) causing more vigorous jiggling. No longer feels safe to go over 40mph without the risk of the hood coming up and hitting the windshield.
Chevrolet issued a recall for my car August 25, 2022 and still has not provided a remedy. It has been eight months since the recall was issued.
On or about may 31, 2021 the car alarm began to randomly go off on the vehicle. I took the car to the local dealership on July 20, 2021 and was advised that "hood latch ajar signal showing hood open randomly" was causing alarm to go off. On Aug 21, the part arrived and the hood latch was replaced. Immediately upon leaving the dealership, the radio went blank. I lost all audible sounds and alerts in the car including: seat belt alerts, key in ignition alert, blinker alert, onstar, and radio power. I returned to the dealership with the vehicle on sept 21, 2021 and the car was again repaired. I was advised that "relay and battery saver relayed" was replaced. Additionally, the service tech called gm tac and was advised that "due to the issue being intermit. Most likely cause is fuse block overloading circuit and shorting relays. If relay goes out again, will need to replace fuse block. " on oct 30, 2021 I returned to the dealership with the vehicle. At this point the alarm was going off again and the radio (all interior sounds/alarms) had gone out again. I was advised that the fuse block needs to be replaced and that this issue is not caused by normal wear and tear or maintenance. I have reached out to gm for assistance with this matter as it is obviously a manufacturer defect. They have refused to help.
The hood latch was eroded and caused me to crash and shattered my entire windshield.
No way to open trunk without a key. No way to open trunk from inside the the car.

The hood latch is corroded and doesn't allow the hood to stay fully closed and trunk latch sticks and does not close properly while being stationary and in motion. I'm scared that the hood will fly up while my son or I are driving.
The vehicle is stationary as I was trying to check the engine oil and I pulled the hood latch inside the car and the hood never popped or released and I was not able to get the hood open to check on the engine oil.
The vehicle was in motion in a school zone of 35 mph on a street. It had a front end impact, which it rear-ended the car in front of it and the airbags deployed. The airbag by the feet, deployed a piece of metal or plastic and blew through the calf down to the bone. The wound was 4-5 inches in length and required 13 stitches. There was barely any damage to the car and there should not have been a hole blown through the leg. I think these airbags need to be recalled as they are dangerous and can cause serious injury.

Lately I have been having issues where the hood latch stays in the open position. According to a VIN check this supposed to be replaced and the local dealership said it was according to the gm database, but I don't think it ever was replaced. The dealership wants to charge me to fix something that gm never repaired in the recall.
This vehicle was recalled for a secondary hood latch which was repaired in early fall, September/ October 2016. The part was repaired, but the same part failed a second time, first week of January 2017. I returned the car to the dealership for the repairs. I was told at the dealership it was the same part that failed. After three days at the dealership they called to let me know that the plastic at the end of the cable was also broken. When I asked how this could happen they had no answers. I went to the dealership talked to a mechanic and had him show me exactly what was broken. This car had never been in an accident of any kind, also the part that he showed me was not broken when I dropped it off. I was told that a mechanic at the dealership had broke it, but this particular mechanic was afraid of losing his job. This dealer wants me to pay $100 for the repair. It has been at the dealership for four weeks with no eta on the part. If there is not a replacement part in the entire country how could this possibly be a where and tear item? this is a serious defect the hood latch could let go and the hood could fly up at any time while driving. Thankfully I was not on a highway when the hood latch let go. When I showed up at the dealership they told me they would order the parts and instructed me to come back when the part came in. I was horrified that they wanted me to drive away with this car and requested a loaner vehicle. The dealership did give me a loaner car. They are not good about answering the phone and do not call me back. I've had to physically show up to even speak to somebody.
The black plastic trim on the doors appears to be "melting" off the car. The trim from the top of the door is actually drooping in a melting appearance. Contacted my dealership and they said they have seen this with almost every Spark that comes in for service; however it is no longer under warranty. The car is parked in a garage and is not exposed to extreme heat, only normal weather conditions during the day.
I was in a very bad car accident and not one of my air bags deployed . It is squished it was hit in the front very hard which would allow the airbags to poof out and help in these situations. I was headed down an off ramp onto turn pike and a car came to a complete stop swerved to merge and car infant of me did the same and we collided.
I was heading east on i40 towards raleigh nc driving the speed limit when the hood of the car came up and hit the windshield. At first I didnt realize what it was. I was able to pull over and thats when I saw that it was the hood of the car. I shut the hood and checked to see if it was latched. It stayed latched so I continued home. There were small pieces of glass everywhere. It happened about an hour into my drive.
I would like to complain that there is a recall on my vehicle recal number 2014456 (2014 chevy Spark ev) secondary hood latch corrosion where the latch can rust and break and hood can open while driving. I have tried to schedule with my dealer in conroe TX several times no one ever calls back. When I call to follow up they dont call back. I have same issue with chevy volt recaul. Two recalls on volt car, the first time I took volt dealer did not fix it and never followed up even though they told me they fixed it. Gm likes to send all these notification but they never fix the issues on the recall.
I was driving down the highway going approximately 55-60 mph and a SUV runs a stop sign and pulls out in front of me on the highway. I hit the SUV. The SUV flees the accident. My car catches on fire on impact and my airbags fail to deploy. It was a frontal impact and I was going about 55 mph at impact. My car was deemed totaled.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Spark. The contact stated that when attempting to refuel the vehicle, the fuel cap failed to open. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 500.
Hood flew open into windshield while accelerating, caused me to crash vehicle into tree.
