Equipment problem #1

Was going to go to the store and when I turned on the ignition every thing was coming on,the lights, dash all lite up ,I heard the fuel pump and I turned the ignition further to start it and nothing. No click,no turning over, nothing. I shut it off and tried again and same thing. I checked my fuses and found nothing there wrong either. I'm stumped. I will need help with this situation. Can you send me a solution please. Thanks for your time and help. Sincerely, w. D. Lair.

Equipment problem #2

Possibly the ignition switch. Brand new batteries cannot hold a charge. Mechanic cannot find the problem.

Equipment problem #3

The passenger's door of my Ssr was becoming difficult to open and I was confident the issue was the same problem I had experienced previously with the driver's side door. It is a known defect and resultant technical service bulletin (TSB 05-08-64-026) which previously had been fixed by ken dixon Chevrolet (June of 2011). At that time, ken dixon (now managed under waldorf chevy Cadillac) declined my request to replace passenger's side defective part even though the TSB had indicated to do so. Waldorf chevy Cadillac now says the part required to fix my car is discontinued and not available. I was told "it cannot be fixed. The part is discontinued, not available from gm. " I asked, "are you saying I have to live with it and there is no fix? that is, gm issued a TSB and then discontinued the part with no future plans or options for cars that are less than 10 years old?" the answer was "correct, you may pick up the car". I was given no indication that waldorf chevy Cadillac or gm would attempt to find any solution. When I received the car back from waldorf chevy Cadillac, the door is no longer operational from the inside. I now have a car with a passenger side door that can no longer be opened from the inside. I have been left to drive a vehicle that is unsafe to drive with no mechanism in place by gm to address an issue that is a documented defect in a car that is less than 10 years old and has 30,000 miles on it. I am concerned with having to drive this vehicle with no means to open the passenger side door from the inside. This could result in tragic outcome in the case of accident, vehicle malfunction or some other incident requiring immediate exit from the car. I am at a complete loss to understand how gm can discontinue a part identified within a TSB as the fix for a known problem and not provide some means to fix the safety issue of this car.

Equipment problem #4

The engine rattles at any rpm. Check engine light p0430 indicates failed catalytic converter (gm dealer verified). First time it happened was at 15000 miles in 2011, happened again now in 2014 at 47000 miles. When replaced at 15000 miles, it was covered under federal warranty 8yr/80000miles. Now Chevrolet refuses to cover the cost ($1600 for the part, est. $300 in labor). Dealership manager offered to do all the work under a $500 'customer deductible'. I accepted the offer and was told the part is on back order. It's been over a month now and my truck continues to rattle with the check engine light on. Dealership claims the current condition will not pass state inspection. My complaint is the catalytic converter has failed twice sine the vehicle was put into service and the replacement part has no signs of being available anytime soon.
