general problems of the 2007 Chevrolet Suburban

My Suburban locked itself with the keys inside of it. It is available for inspection. I had a two-month baby in the car on an 80-degree day trapped for over 10 minutes. At that young age they have no temperature regulation. I took the vehicle into a local mechanic, and it was confirmed. It has not been inspected by the police, manufacturer, or insurance as we bought this vehicle outright from a facebook ad. There was a suspension message that appeared on the dash, and we bought it like that. However, I'm unsure to how long that had been on prior to that. My husband was going to work on it over the next weekend as it was supposed to be a work vehicle for him.

There is an electrical problem with driver side door harness which causes my car not to start causing me to have to keep replacing the fuel pump from malfunction of ground wires leading to the fuel pump and ecu from what I am told.

My Suburban 2007 drains battery overnight, tried different alternator and batteries but continuously drains battery’s.

My 2007 Suburban has extensive rust that has left the frame open and crumbling. It appears that the seals on the vehicle did not do their job. The spare tire cannot hold under it. I have never taken it into salt water nor has it had flood damage. Its main years on the road were in CT and NJ. I have never seen a vehicle with this amount of crumbling rust. I have to drive 2 hours each way to see my specialists at shands hospital in gainesville every 2 - 3 months and as a female it does concern me that there is that lifter clicking as well as the oil disappears and yet there's no puddle. Also, the lighting in the cabin ac area doesn't function as well as the rear controls. In florida my last two problems deal with my problem with heat. The a/c runs intermittently and sometimes only blows very hot air. Also, what a big reason I purchased a tahoe ltz and this vehicle was because of the remote start which is not working. Is there anything that can be done. I needed a safe vehicle for my short regular trips and I've become worried and I have already had to rent a vehicle to make the trip out of fear of the cabin getting so hot. With narcolepsy I can fall asleep without warning. Please advise. I'd love to keep the truck but not if it could mean injuring someone else or myself. Thanks in advance.

My drver door has an electrical issue. Camt roll down window or control anything else from drver door. I have been told on numerous occasions that its mot a bad switch that its an electrical issue. Also dash wont ligjtnup now. Rear passenger side tail light has a short.

Ignition does not engage engine when key is turned. Takes several attempts of turning key on, completely off, then on again until engine will engage and start. Stabilitrak light illuminates and goes off every 20-40 miles. Rough shift between first and second gear.

Battery drains regularly requiring jump start. Vehicle will be fine for a period time (days/weeks) and then be dead again.

While driving the car logs go up and down, the stabilitiy control and park assist lights flas as well as the in dash audio system. The car looses power. Scared of what will happen on the highway.

In the last 3 weeks we've had 1) the stabilitrac/tcs/check engine light come on2) hard shifting between 1st and 2nd gear 3) abnormal idling 4) car lurching when started and doors locking on their own when this happened 4) vehicle steering locking up 5) and sluggish acceleration. 8/29/11--vehicle is at dealer for the 2nd time for the check engine/tcs/stabilitrac light. . . . Many more have had this problem on edmunds, however dealer wasn't interested in the details unless there was a fix, however I had not completed reading all of the complaints yet. . .

Tire pressure monitoring system was problematic for years. The display would light and message center would indicate all tires were low when none were by check of accurate gauge. This problem has finally been addressed at least temporarily. Check engine lights stay on. Vehicle has been to shop and dealer on multiple occasions. Tests have been run and the codes reset, to no avail. The check engine light is on and vehicle performance seems normal, however, the warning light remains useless for any "real" problem. Please consider the low mileage (currently 18,224) when considering problems.

My wife was driving this morning and suddenly the engine stopped working and the steering wheel locked. Thank god she was driving in slow speed and could stop the vehicle and avoided a crash. It happened right before she had to turn left but the steering wheel locked and she went straight. She was scared a lot and what if this happened on the highway. Yesterday we have serviced the vehicle at the dealership. There was some recall and they updated the ecu on the vehicle.
