Four problems related to fuel injection have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states: fuel injectin system 5,6,and 7 missing, and it is leaking. Vehicle back fired a couple times before it needed a tune up.
Fuel regulator diaphram ruptured, leaking raw gasoline into crankcase/oilpan epa /emissions test failure.
Fuel injectors failed.
Sequential central port fuel injectors failed.
