Five problems related to seats have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I entered my vehicle and when I sat in the driver's seat the front left frame bracket on the seat snapped. The welding apparently broke. This vehicle has never been off-road and I am not obese. Now, when I sit in the seat, it leans back in an uncomfortable and, most importantly, dangerous position. The seat moves back and forth everytime the accelerator and/or brake pedal is depressed. I tried to have gm fix this, because it is obviously a defect, as welding should not come undone under normal operating conditions. Gm would not accept the responsibility to fix this defect.
Easy entry seat recall repair delayed due to ineffective repair per dealer.
Seat track failed.
The driver's seat bolt bracket broke while getting in.
