One problem related to differential unit has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Whenever vehicle is started or at a stop, can hear a clunking noise in the driveline. Took to dealer & mechanic knew what problem was. Used a "special" lubricant to correct problem. Vehicle still has the clunking noise.
