Three problems related to power assist brake vacuum have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brake power booster failure. Caused extended and unsafe stopping distance.
Brake booster assembly failed.
Abs brake problems; when applying the brakes under normal road condition, normal braking situation, the pedal travels completely to the floor, and there is a loss of braking ability. Dealer stated that the brake booster was bad.
