The consumer indicated that the parking brake failed and would not hold the vehicle when it was parked on a hill. The dealership inspected vehicle several times, and the mechanic advised the consumer that they replaced the mechanical part, but the problem was never resolved. The rear brakes were replaced with factory parts. The consumer requested reimbursement. The a/c was inoperative, the vehicle would pull to the right while in motion and the brake shoes were worn and scored the rear rotors.
The air conditioner compressor failed after only 2 years of use. I was told by a local dealer that this was a reoccuring problem with 2001 Tahoes. .
