Two problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe based on all problems reported for the 2002 Tahoe.
Seatbelt on passenger's side locks up where it cannot be used. This happens intermittently. Took vehicle to dealer, and dealer replaced seat belt. But problem still exists. Consumer states the seat belt would not come out of retractor at all and also the seat belt locked against the seat.
Please be advised that I would like to lodge a complaint regarding the placement of both the driver and passenger seatbelt. I have been burned, on both my left and right- side upper-back area, by the metal insert of the seatbelt. It seems that if the sun's positioning happens to shift to the front area of the vehicle, the insert of the seatbelt becomes dangerously hot. I believe this is a serious defect in the vehicle's otherwise superb structure. I would like information on a possible remedy to this matter and look forward to an expedient response.
