Hinge on rear liftgate window separated from the window and prevented window from latching. (the hinge failure cocked the window and made it crooked on the liftgate. ) this window has only been opened maybe 2 - 3 dozen times total in 7 years. If I hadn't been focused, I might have driven off and window might have blown off the vehicle as most of my driving is on highways. If someone else had been driving it and not noticed the imperfect way the window closed (which would be probable), the window most assuredly would have blown off due to wind turbulence.
2004 Chevrolet Tahoe "reduced engine power". Occurs intermittently and only allows you to go about 25 mph. Very unsafe if on a highway. Gm dealer replaced the faulty wire harness and plug that plugs into the throttle body. Also replaced throttle body itself.
Transmission had to be replaced and I paid for half, gm goodwill paid for half. When you pay over $42,000 for a vehicle it should last more than 50,000 miles!.
The hinge that holds the rear lift gate window onto the vehicle has broken/separated from the glass due to stress or improper installation. The window is in tact, but the window part of the lift gate cannot be opened and closed properly and when closed, it is not seated in the proper position. This part of the lift gate has probably been used about 5 times in the life of the truck which now has about 53,000 miles on it. I have reported the problem to Chevrolet which denies any knowledge of this happening to other vehicles. I am concerned about the possibility of the window breaking loose entirely during the time the vehicle is being driven. Chevrolet's only option is to 'try' to glue the part back onto the window or replace the window entirely at my cost of nearly $1000. This is not acceptable and in my opinion, is a serious accident waiting to happen. I believe it needs to be addressed as a safety issue and a recall issued to have this taken care of.
The speedometer on my 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe is not working. When im sitting still it is reading 75 miles per hour. My rpm gage stopped working about 2 weeks ago and now its moved to the speedometer.
: the contact stated the whole front of the child safety seat base shook while the safety seat was fastened securely in the vehicle. The manufacturer was alerted and informed the contact there was other complaints concerning this model of child safety seat and the company was working on a new design for the base. The make of the child safety seat was cosco; model number: 22-630 hpn. The manufacturer date was 10-04-05.
The speedometer will not register correctly. This has not worked for a week. Took it to the dealer and the dealer said it is not covered on warranty. Called gm and they said the it was not covered on warranty and the dealer would have a fee. Have not tried to fix the problem because of he feels the vehicle has a safety defect and gm won't cover it.
