The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet tahoe. While driving approximately 35 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The contact managed to pull over and stop the vehicle. The vehicle was able to restart on the second attempt. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 158,498.
The caller stated vehicle stalls. This happens when driving at slower speeds and idling. The engine hesitated just before it stalled. Dealer said the problem was in a computer chip the first time. The second time he had it in they told him he may be out of gas they could not duplicate the problem. Manufacturer was called and he filed a complaint with them.
