1 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 09/21/2011

Fuel sending unit not functioning on 2005 chevolet Tahoe. Spoke with my mechanic who stated it was a very common problem with Chevrolet Tahoe. The sending unit made it so the gas did not register on the fuel gauge making it likely to run out of gas at an inopportune time, possibly creating a traffic hazard or crash.

2 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/15/2011

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that as he refueled the vehicle, gasoline began spewing from the filler neck preventing him from refueling. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed for the failure. The manufacturer was contacted who stated that it would be at the discretion of the dealer if they wanted to cover the costs of repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 65,000.

3 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/21/2010

2005 Tahoe-due to faulty purge canister silenoid (evap) cannot put gas in vehicle due to the air has nowhere to escape while filling. Gas spurts back out of fuel neck causing potential safety and enviormental hazard. Gm has a new redesigned part but does not peplace or repair at their cost. Comsumer is getting charged and required pay for their acknowledged problems.

4 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/07/2008

Fuel gauge is never accurate. Sometimes it takes 15 minutes after driving for fuel to register on gauge. They light usually stays on even when I have gas???.

5 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2007

While driving, the gas pedal stuck in the down position causing car to sped up. It then slowed down. Upon inspection by mechanic, it was found that a spring on the gas pedal had become dislodged. One end of the spring is straight (like an opened paper clip) the straight part had stuck into the carpet and then slowly eased out. The mechanic was able to recreate the situation. Because of this, my wife was issued a summons which is still pending. E-mails to general motors have gone unanswered.
