Wiring problems of the 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe

1 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 07/13/2015

Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the air condition system in the vehicle failed. The contact stated that the air condition was in operation when it suddenly stopped working and there was an abnormal smoke coming from the vehicle's front air condition vents. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed for the failure. The contact was informed that the wiring harness for the heater unit was melted. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v070000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 198,000. Ah.

2 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 08/08/2009

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. He stated while the vehicle was parked he noticed a fire in his fuse box that destroyed the wiring harness. The failure occurred under the hood under the left front fender. The vehicle is at the dealer being repair with a cost. He contacted the manufacture and they would get back with him within twenty four hours. The manufacturer has not contacted him. The failure mileage was 56,000. Bl updated 09/29/09.

3 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2005

The fuel pump quit pumping gas, the wiring got hot on it and it started smoking. Tooke vehicle to the dealer, they said fuel pump was bad and wiring overheated. They replaced the pump, and the wiring. This happened on August 3, 2005.
