Vsa Warning Light On problems of the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

When I drive my truck my stability an traction control lights come on an my truck slows down want let me go over 30 mph its even cuts off sometimes while I am driving.

Oil consumption of at least a quart between oil changes, misfiring at idle causing check engine light, stability track control service light. Chevrolet tells me there is not even 1 service bulletin or recall notice on my Tahoe.

My wife and daughter were coming home from a 15 hour trip to oklahoma when the stability traction control light came on and then went off. The next thing that came on was service stability traction control, the vehicle didn't lose power and they drove on to a gas station for fuel and restroom break. When she got back in the car she turned the key and the vehicle just kept trying to crank itself over and over again. The whole time this was going on the engine was shaking violently and after 15 minutes of trying to start the vehicle she gave up and called someone to drive 2 hours pick her and my daughter up so they could get home. The next morning I went to get the vehicle and it started right up with no problems. But after some research on this issue have found that this is a big problem and gm and the dealers have no clue on how to fix it. I cannot believe that gm hasn't recalled the vehicles as this is a deadly safety issue and I am now afraid to let my wife drive the vehicle. But how can gm go on knowing that this is a issue which will eventually turn into lawsuits when someone is seriously hurt or killed due to this defect.

Was driving and when exiting freeway. Truck started shaking really bad and traction /stability control light came on. Engien light has been coming on and off for about a year. All they do is reset system and comes right back on a few days later. It been well taken care of. Bought it in 06 and paid it off in 08. This truck has been giving me many problem since 09. I even have a crake on dash board all the way to air bag since 08. Dealer said no recalls and is due to sun! bull. . . . I have been reading on-line and many people have simalier problems.

I have an 07 Tahoe and have read from other people that this is happening to alot of others as well. I had my truck inspected at the chevy dealer in lake elsinore. They said it could be a number of things and thought that cleaning my intake system would fix the problem. It was fine for one day then out of nowhere driving on the freeway my stability trac light comes on and the check engine light and says reduced engine power . I had my wife and kids in the truck and find it funny that I guess this has happened to others with different vehicles but the same year GMC yukons. I had the same problem as one and they were near semi trucks. This is not good even worse when you are no longer under the warranty and the dealer can't tell you exactly what it is but wants to try everything. That is wrong. This is dangerous to have happen and even worse when the dealer wants to say they are not exactly sure but find out from reading about others vehicles like mine with the same problem and no help.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that they could not determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.
