The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving in local or highway traffic, the steering wheel lost power when turned. The steering wheel returned to normal and was able to complete the turn. The failure was experienced numerous times. The stability control and power steering indicators illuminated while the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to palmero Chevrolet (1122 4th avenue conway, south carolina 20526, phone (843)-248-4283) where it was diagnosed that the steering sensor failed. The vehicle was repaired and the steering sensor was placed. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v719000. The failure mileage was 55,000.
Duirng officer training left steer hub came apart. Same training since 2012 and no different then pursuit driving. Ppv Tahoe. We have another unit and filing sepearte case with same issue but both steer hubs failed.
During officer training left and right steer hubs failed coming off, same training since 2012 using Tahoe's and same as pursuit driving ppv Tahoe.
