Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving approximately 40 mph, a booming sound suddenly occurred due to the sun roof exploding. Shards of glass fell into the cabin of the vehicle and made contact with the occupants. No injuries were reported. The sun roof was in the closed position when the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to casey Chevrolet (11700 jefferson Ave, newport news, va) to be diagnosed, but they were unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.
