While driving my vehicles traction control is coming on for no reason. The dealership said it is a false reading causing the traction control to come on when it shouldn't. They said the sensors would need replaced and all the previous models have had this recalled but not out current year yet. The dealership said there are so many that have had this same problem but it has yet to be recalled on this current model. This is a death trap while driving but we don't have the $500 to fix it. This part should be recalled like the rest of the models. It is so scary and hard to control when it suddenly starts doing it!!! please help!!.

Was driving and when exiting freeway. Truck started shaking really bad and traction /stability control light came on. Engien light has been coming on and off for about a year. All they do is reset system and comes right back on a few days later. It been well taken care of. Bought it in 06 and paid it off in 08. This truck has been giving me many problem since 09. I even have a crake on dash board all the way to air bag since 08. Dealer said no recalls and is due to sun! bull. . . . I have been reading on-line and many people have simalier problems.

I was on the freeway in pretty heavy traffic. The traffic started to disperse and as I accelerated, the notification chime came on and the dash message said "stabilitrack off, traction control off, engine power is reduced". I could not drive any faster than about 20mph and it was jerking a bit. I pulled over and pushed the onstar button. They sent a tow truck and after sitting on the road for about an hour, when I started the truck again, the message was gone. I had it towed to the dealer anyway, and was told that it is a sensor problem, which is not covered under the powertrain warranty. I have a friend that has a 2007 Tahoe and she had the same problem. Also, according to a few message boards, many other people have had this problem also.

I have a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. I had the recall service performed for the wheel speed sensor problem approximately 2 years ago. I am now experiencing the same problem again with the anti-lock brake function occurring at low speeds.

For two years, the traction active warning goes on and slows down acceleration of the vehicle. It happens on a daily basis. When I am at a complete stop and then try to accelerate, the car will not accelerate normally. This is an extremely dangerous situation. I have taken the car to chevy dealerships twice for this and they say they can't "replicate' the situation. Chevrolet knows of this problem and has not issues a recall.
