Power Train Problems of Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid

Gm has not been able to figure out my car. It has been in three times for an eltrical issue. The car revs up and speeds up to 55 miles per hour on its own. Has no power steering. Reduced engine power. Throwing 47 codes. No communication between transmission and computer. Stability track turns off. Doors and auto shut off turn off and on when this occurs.

Collapsed lifter number 7 , regularly fowls out the number one plug, spider gear in the rear end shredded had to be rebuilt , replaced valve cover because of oil issue , replaced oil pressure sending unit , replaced back wiper, passenger side door locks dont work with button or remote , clock quit working, engine light on again.

I was driving when one of the lifters collapsed , I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle I submitted another complaint a while ago and hadn't heard nothing , now my back hatch wont open my doors on the passenger side don't lock with the button or remote I have done nothing but put money into this vehicle since I got it , it has an oil issue it fowls out the number 1 plug all the time ,ive changed the oil sensor and sending unit , the spider gear in the rear end shredded which there known for had to have that rebuilt ,I had the new valve cover put on , cv joint is leaking , paid over $2200 to have the collapsed lifter fixed , my check engine light is on again saying oil gage, already replaced that once my clock wont work its been in the shop more than my driveway.

Vehicle shuts off randomly from stop to auto start transition feature. Modules has been updated to latest version. Problem still accumulating hybrid batteries soc 60% battery temperature inlet 81f outlet 107f 340volt total charge in the event of problem accured. Aux trans pump and module replaced new. Hybrid battery cooling fan replaced new. Problem still exist dealer cannot find the problem or they dont want to deal. In the even of shut off I loose brake power and steering power which I can not stop or steer the vehicle to pull over this results in serious safety issue.

My 2009 hybrid tahoe accelerates uncontrollably on occasion. The issue arrises commonly in stop-and-go traffic when the hybrid system starts/stops the gasoline engine regularly. I notice in many circumstances when switching gas/electric modes the vehicle lurches forward. The feeling is the same as letting out the clutch quickly on a vehicle with a manual transmission. I have done as much research as I can and it appears the problem points to issues with the transmission fluid pump(s) and/or control modules. When the system operates on the gas engine, the hybrid tahoe's transmission relies on an engine driven hydraulic fluid pump. When the system switches to electric mode, an auxiliary transmission fluid pump turns on, driven by an independent electric motor. The lurch I described results from what I believe to be a failing pump or control module, or a combination of the both which engages gears when it shouldn't. This lurch is rather dangerous as I have had to jump on the brakes many times to avoid rear ending other drivers. I have spoken with several individuals who own, drive or have driven these gmt900 series hybrids (2008-2013 chevy tahoe/silverado hybrids, GMC yukon hybrids, Cadillac escalade hybrids) all individuals have described the dreaded lurch. Some say replacing the electric auxiliary transmission fluid pump solves the problem, others still have lurching issues. One individual who drives a Cadillac escalade hybrid claimed to have actually rear ended someone due to the uncontrollable lurch. As for my personal car, the lurch occurs in stop and go traffic and occurs at least once a week, sometimes more. My complaint towards my 2008 chevy Tahoe Hybrid is while driving my trucks stalls, twice already while driving off a parking lot onto the street it has shut off on me. Is getting to a point that I am afraid to drive it, I took it to the chevy place they kept it for 8-10 through 8/17, pick it up and the very next day the truck began stalling, dropped it off on a Monday 8/21, called the service department on Friday 8/25 and they said they can't fix it but they are going to keep it over the weekend to see what they can do. I love my truck but afraid of it. . . I feel I am risking my life and the lives of the other drivers while I am on the rode.

Vehicle will jerk uncontrollably at times at parking lot speeds. Vehicle will stall at times when taking off from a stop. Vehicle will accelerate at times by itself witout pressing accelerator. Dealer claims it needs a new battery but cannot replicate problems. I disaggree with dealer and think vehicle is dangerous.

When decelerating using braking and in hybrid mode the vehicel surges ahead when the hybrid system disengages. This causes the vehicle to accelerate and prevents stopping. High potential to hit the vehicle in front or person if at a crosswalk. Chevrolet dealer iin avon CT, was unable to find cause with two visits.

2008 hybrid tahoe slow reverse out of parking space, absolutely no pressure in the brakes. Put the pedal to the floor and vehicle came to rolling stop, 5-10 feet with pedal to the floor. Pressure returned after changing transmission to drive and pumping. Dealer could not duplicate. No warning lights or error codes when service checked it out. We completed buyback / lemon law with regard to this issue and transmission. Transmission was completely replaced at direction of gm engineers and had same issues present within 2-3 months.
