1 Structure problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2008

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Tracker. The contact stated that the front driver's side door is defective. While driving various speeds, the door opens whether it is locked or not. He took the vehicle to the shop and was informed that the failure was caused by the door spring. The spring was replaced. The current and failure mileages were 27,830.

2 Structure problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2004

New 2003 Chevrolet Tracker 4dr 4wd with the following safety related defects; 1. Two of the tire valves leak for varying lengths of time after checking pressure or filling tire with air, 2. Windshield washer fluid from factory froze, 3. There are stamped openings in the left and right rear fender pannels under the tail lights about 3 x 4 inches in size. One of them is just over where the tail pipe exhausts on the left side. They are covered by what seems to be a generic "scotch tape. " while removing the left tail lens (over the exhaust) for instalation of a trailer lighting harness, I saw the above and discoverd that the tape was loose effectively leaving a rather large communication into the inside of the vehicle. Gm was notified by me via telephone one week ago. I consider the above serious safety hazzards with rather cheap fixes. Since they have not gotten back to me, I am filing this complaint.
