The contact owns a 1997 Chevrolet Tracker. The vehicle had cooper tires. While driving approximately 70 mph, the tread completely separated from the rear passenger side tire without warning. The vehicle flipped over and was completely destroyed. The contact has a copy of the police report and pictures of the failed incident. Purchased 4 big o radial max tires oct 04, sept 05 right front developed bubble around supposed belt seam line, took to big o to have checked, was told in writing no defects the way the tire was built,however, manager did not remove tire from car, made this assessment from sight only, Feb 06 going to work in a. M. Right front tire immediately went flat, took to tire dealership in town (no big o in laramie), was told that malfunction of tire was caused by belts in tire erupting, took to big o in cheyenne next day, after much debate, all four tires were replaced.

First tire went flat after slightly hitting curb. Second tire had unusual bubble on the side, which good year dealer said was due to hitting a pothole. (I never did). See NHTSA odi 551745. ( dot number: tire size: s1 94s ).
