Automatic Transmission problems of the 2000 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Two problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2005

I have researched this a lot and found the internet full of problems with blazers and the transmission going out / the dealership also told me this is a common thing for blazers (the trans going out) in west virginia I was told by a sales department that this is common for chevy blazers. Gm told me and some other internet people that there is nothing that can be done. I think an investigation needs done /truck has always had a weird noisy that which we complained about and we were told until something happens there is nothing that can be done. I went to back out and the truck would not go into reverse. 2. Unable to drive truck due to not going into reverse. 3. Called to schedule estimate. Gm said they could offer a rebate customer appreciation but they are already advertising this option to anyone.

2 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 08/02/2003

Powertrain transmission - 50,000 miles and the transmission goes out. . . . Sunshell I believe is what they called it. Highway miles only and serviced regularly. This should not happen!.
