I was driving on the highway going 65mph which is the legal speed limit. I got cut off by a driver and light tapped my brakes to slow the vehicle down. When I did so the vehicle then swerved to the left and started drifting sideways directly to a wall. I went head on with the wall. Then I bounced back across all lanes of traffic again still sideways and drifting hitting another wall. Which is where the vehicle ended at the stopping point of the accident. No airbags deployed in the accident. The driver behind me who witness the crash stated that the vehicle started to loose traction before I hit my brakes and me hitting my brakes caused the vehicle to them loose full control. I was in the process of buying this vehicle from gresham Ford in oregon. I was told the vehicle was 100% road safe and passed safety inspections. Which is false.
Recently bought a car that I believe they are illegally passing the inspections on. They proclaimed that fixed a major part to keep the tires on my car tie rods and cv axel. Just short time after it looked like the part was never replaced just tightened up and shortly after we had all kinds of issues with the brakes and anything that keeps the car driveing safely the brakes went out on me so I called to see what they did and why they never fixed it the berry next day they repo the car as if they are trying to hide and cover up the scams they have on people my kids are in that car daily it should be never passed the inspection we have had to pay for most of that. I believe all the cars in there lot need to be inspected by a federal agent or something I've found alot of the same complaints online about same issues and I even know other people who have bought from them all with the same issues they are fraud and you need to stop them before someone gets killed and dies from one of there faulty vehicles my issue happened and happens while driveing they also took both of the brake caliber pins that hold it in place to the point to where it came off completely I almost died guys they are bad people to buy from.

The contact stated that while driving at approximately 5 mph and coming to a stop making a left turn, the vehicle whent from one side of the road to the other side, the contact try to control the steering wheel but was dificult to manuever. Also the contact was depressing the brake the vehicle accelarated causing the contact to go over a railroad tracks. As a result, the contact crashed into a iron fance and a telephone pole and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained injuries to the right knee and whiplashed that required medical attention. In addition the passenger sustained bruces, wiplashed and back injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileages was 95,000. Aw.
I was slowing down as I was entering an intersection and there was traffic in front of me. I suddenly lost all power steering and power brakes and struck the car in front of me. None of the occupants of either vehicle was hurt, per police report. On my way to the collision center near home, the cab of the truck filled suddenly with very black smoke, so thick I couldn't see and had to immediately try to pull off the road. By the time I got to the side of the road there were flames in the cab as well. When I finally got out of the truck my clothes were on fire. I was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital and had to be treated for 1st and 2nd degree burns of the face, scalp, eyes, calf, and both hands. My right (dominant) hand was burned the worst, as I had tried to get to the fire extinguisher I kept in the back. The entire truck burned except the last row of seats (partially burned) and the back door. I am still having to go to a wound care center on a weekly basis, and my bandages have to be changed daily. I had to get a flat-top haircut to get rid of all my hair burned off, and I have to have help for almost everything since my "good" hand was the worst injured. I haven't gotten a good night's sleep since, due to pain and nightmares about burning. I feel as though my life has been torn apart, all because of something very wrong with my vehicle that shouldn't have been.
I was simply trying to clean my windshield with the wiper blades. When I flicked the switch the car shut off. I immediately got over and turned truck back on. A couple days later I was leaving out for work when I tried to start the car, it stalled and I heard a hissing noise. I couldn't get it to turn over or make any noise other than hissing. The speedometer started moving back and forth erotically. The radio and power windows works but the engine would not turn over. I had it towed to my repair man and he told me there was a electric problem and to call the gm dealership for further assistance. The truck will not start up. There is a short. It shuts off constantly while driving and sometimes I have to push it to avoid oncoming traffic. It won't sped up past 60 without troubling the transmission. While driving sometimes the speedometer doesn't work at all or it jumps,around without reading my correct speed. When I try turn signals it cuts off. When I turn my lights on and off it hisses. Something has to be done. Its my only means of transportation and I really need to find a solution.
Driving with my 5 yr old son and my car just turned off in the middle of driving causing breaks to lock and steering wheel to lock, crashing into an abandon truck. I contacted general motors regarding and was told that my car is not on their current recall list although the problems are similar to those of all the recalls currently associated to the recalls. I was also told that bc no one was injured and my car was not very damaged they can not do anything because it is not a mechanical problem, if either of the above would have happen then it would have been their fault. What that tells me is that I need to drive me car and if that happens again a god forbid that was to happen again and myself or my children are severely injured they will then address the matter.
I was coming to a stop light my brakes did not want to work , then they did. I stopped my vehicle, my lights in my dash went out within a few seconds smoke started to roll from under my hood and cover my windshield. I immediately got out of the vehicle, and called 911. He wanted to lift the hood but I advised him not to do so, due to my job training I knew oxygen promotes fire. We got away from the vehicle, saint albans fire arrived on scene, the flames were out by the time they arrived, the car continues to smoke. The vehicle was moved to a lot, the key was put in the ignition by the fire department the dash lights did not work even with just turing the battery on. Triple h towing, towed the vehicle to davis smith's auto body. Gieco is my insurer, I had full coverage however they will not cover stating it was mechanical failure. I have no without a vehicle, and no insurance funds to replace the vehicle. I have read online this is a common problem with this vehicle, I just do not want anyone to get hurt in a vehicle fire. Whenever braking and slowing down almost to a stop, the anti-lock brake system (abs) will engage. Vehicle makes the typical abs "chatter" sound when this occurs and the abs engagement can be felt in the brake pedal. Road conditions are clean and dry; road surface is level and not bumpy. Only occurs when speed is below approximately 10mph (for instance, when coming to a stop at a stoplight, stopsign, or braking on a level driveway). As a result, braking distance is extended at the very time the vehicle should be coming to a stop -- eventually, a collision is inevitable. This started approximately 2-weeks ago, occurring rarely but now occurs about 30% of the time. Bringing the car to the local chevy dealer service department tomorrow morning (6/15/2010) to examine the problem. Note that the vehicle had a complete brake job at the same chevy dealer service department on 2/10/2010.
