Three problems related to wheel have been reported for the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Wheel problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2015

Driving I-85 north bound on the morning on 6/15/2015 headed to work when the rear passenger tire blew out causing my 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer to cross over into another lane then back into the lane I was in, spin uncontrollable, all of a sudden the steering wheel started spinning and then the vehicle just shut down, steering wheel locks, the car comes to a stop and slams into a guard rail where I am facing south bound traffic, none of my air bags deploy, I have a neck and back injury that to this day I am still being treated for and my passenger who was a coworker riding to work with me that morning also had a back injury. My vehicle was deemed a total loss by insurance company could not be repaired, lost time from work, still have medical bills, occurring, although I have full coverage insurance but because it was a one vehicle accident there is nothing that can be done about loss wages. Just had these tires put on my truck about 6 months ago, heard about people passing these bad tires on as new tires , don't know if this is the case or not. Don't know why air bags did not deploy, don't know why steering wheel spin then locked up, thank god it was not worse! state trooper said it could have been worse from the way I landed.

2 Wheel problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2014

Tl- the contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph the vehicle suddenly shut completely off. The engine was restarted and the vehicle operated as normal. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no remedy was offered. The contact also stated while driving approximately 3o mph the rear passenger side wheel suddenly separated from the vehicle. 3 Wheel problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2012

I was wondering how come there hasn't been a recall for the chevy Trailblazer ext for the throttle body. I see that they have recalls on other chevy cars with the same issue. This is a very dangerous issue as when this goes you have a reduce engine light that comes on. Which I didn't know what that meant until my car wasn't going any more than 20 mph. This is very dangerous to be on the road like I was and can't speed up or better yet trying to turn when you don't have the power to do so. Also, I see that there were also alot of issues with the speedometer. Which also I had that problem has to pay too much money to get this fixed. As how they would say their are manufacture parts which definitely hurts your pockets. If they know that they have these issues they really need to rectify because both of these issues cause some serious problems on the road. I know they are wear and tear on cars / trucks but if you have too many people having the same problems I think they should do something to resolve these issues.
