My airbags didn’t go off in crash.
The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the seat belt pretensioner needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 186,228.
The airbags failed to deploy in a significant collision where hood, radiator, grill/number and both headlights were damaged. Gm has been contacted and fail and refuse to do an inspection stating the issue is time barred to 10 years to original warranty of vehicle and are failing to acknowledge manufacturer defect or issue a recall. There were no warning signs/lights prior to notify that the airbags would fail to deploy in an accident. The vehicle has not inspected, even a request has been made on multiple occassions, with getting the runaround and claim closed. The lack of safety puts other drivers/owners of the 2005 Trailblazer and or similar vehicles at risk, at time they will need it the most to find out airbags are defective and will not work. Injuries and lives are at risk only for gm to run a cover up and not stand up to do what is right. Police report number a23-11986, adams CO sheriff's office, could not upload.

A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 205,000.
My husband was entering the highway and upon acceleration from roughly 35mph to roughly around 50mph (while taking the entrance slight right) all of the air bags deployed.
Checking for recalled airbag.
Airbag did not work.
Fuel gage is not showing the fuel level , so it looks like its empty all the time automatic air bag passenger sensing system is malfunctioning and on windshield urethane bead may not have adhered to the body in certain areas during the cure process.
I just purchased this vehicle and was checking on recalls. I got a 877 # and tried calling but it wont go through. I just want to make sure these issues are resolved with recall so if you can let me know what I have to do I will do it. Gm recall np. 06102.
Crashed straight into the back end of a vehicle doing 60 while I was doing atleast 80, or 85, maybe more, I don't remember. The first thing I remember seeing is realizing I'm alright despite the blood in the cockpit and on my face despite sneezing which was spreading blood. Is this a vehicle defect or what? my math says that crashing at 85mph into a vehicle doing 60 is like crashing into a brick wall at 25mph. I've had a local mechanic check it out and he says according to his obd-ii computer everything is working fine (or was atleast) :) anyways, please feel free to contact me again with any more question you may have. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, vehicle was inspected however, the findings were not disclosed to contact. The failure and current mileage was 118,000.
On, 6/17/12, my daughter and I were driving east bound I-96 and involved in a non-fatal injury accident btwn beech daly & inkster. The accident started in the far right lane and ended with SUV facing opposite direction of traffic, left lane of hwy. I hit a pothole, approximate diameter of a yard stick, filled with water and it seems like I lost control of the steering; almost as if the vehicle had instantly shut down. The vehicle easily completed at least a 360â° spin out. We were able to walk away with minimal injuries due to clipping another SUV tail end instantly before going straight into the cement highway divider! I didn't realize how much muscle strengthening would be involved in mine and my daughters' healing process. I have been in to see an internist, neurological surgeon, physical therapist, occupational therapist, massage therapist, not to mention all of the cat scans, mris, etc. Performed at multiple hospital locations. My vehicle insurance carrier was notified of my health insurance restrictions prior to signing with them and prior to the mvi. The redford, mi police report indicates no injuries because neither myself nor my daughter were taken away by ambulance since the injuries were not life threatening and we were both in formal attire, both bridal party members. The vehicle was towed and totaled by insurance, loan paid in full; however, apparently concerns have arose to, perhaps, to the extent of our injuries so no medical procedures have not been paid to any of the service providers, as of today's date (11/15/14). My daughter and I were picked up by another guest attendee so we weren't holding up progress, being in the wedding party and carrying all decor for afterward festivities. None of the vehicle air bags deployed and we were going 60-65mph (front, side, rear, no where)! thank you, gm, mdot and current employees for staying true to USA & mi!.
Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving 30 mph attempting to avoid impacting a deer on the road, he crashed off a 9 foot embankment and none of the air bags deployed. The contact became unconscious after his head crashed into the steering wheel. Also, the contact suffered severe neck injuries. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer but the results were inconclusive. The manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. The failure and current mileage was 108,429. The VIN was unavailable. Pmb.
Since 2011 I've been having wrong reading of gas levels causing my vehicle to shutoff. Plus my passager air bag displays on when no one is sitting in seat and when someone is sitting in passager seat it occasionally flicker on and off. However I have not had a incident just yet but I'm very concerned and don't feel safe driving with my kids in this vehicle.
My 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer is possibly involved with recall # 06v417000. I have called gm, the dealership that I purchased the vehicle from, and the toll free # listed on the recall form and cannot get any information regarding this matter. I did not receive a recall letter from gm. When I became aware of this recall, I called gm and they had no record of my vehicle having leather installed by the dealership and referred me to the dealership. Aftermarket leather seats were installed in my vehicle at the time of purchase at the dealership that I purchased my vehicle from. After reading the recall notice, I am very concerned that the airbags in my vehicle will not function properly if I am in an accident. I am concerned about the safety of my vehicle and would like to have someone help me with this issue.
7/8/06, while traveling highway 31 in niles, michigan, speed limit of 70 mph, we hit a deer head on with our 2005 chevy Trailblazer LS, s/n. We had no time to even brake prior to the impact. The impact took out the front end of the car, pushing the radiator back into the engine compartment. Neither air bag deployed. There were 4 passengers in the vehicle, including an 11-year old boy, and a 14-year old boy.
Passanger air bad light not working and coming on when no passage. Check engine light has been on since 2006. Seat belts in 2nd row seating don't lock. Radio broke 2006 replaced after fixed cd player will not play or eject. Air conditioner only blows out hot air after hundreds dollars to fix it. Both head lights blow out at least every 2 months they need replaced. Drivers side break light n tail light keep blowing went to auto store get more bulbs and the tail light caught on fire employees helped me and said they seen the Trailblazers do it before due to water building up in it and that that's the reason the bulbs blow. Paid out 300$ in tickets cuz of them blowing n not knowing. The hot and cold air in second row don't blow out at all. A bike parked by me and my back window exploded. Windshield vision is cloudy. Gas gauge, speed ad temp gauge stopped working had replaced now battery gauge broke. Only 1, and 2 worked on heat control and 2 vents worked. Bottom of both sides of car rusted 2 years ago. I had it payed of in 3 years and wish these problems were made available before I did. Ive already put thousands of dollars in it and the same thing breaks again and windows in front broke too. My blazer has bee in the garage since January cuz as soon as my husbands gets it out the shop it needs to go right back and we cant afford to fix it nomore I love my blazer and don't want him selling it or trading it in s if you have any advice that would help please tell me. Ive been keeping it hoping to get it fixed again but I also have a disabled grandson and custody of a 2 year old that have apts n thropy 4 times a week and need a car but I love it and cant part with it.
