The contact then suddenly powered the vehicle off, causing the wheels to seize as the engine rpms continued to increase rapidly. The vehicle was restarted and resumed normal operation. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure and current mileages were approximately 90,000.
