Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at different speeds, the windshield wipers went full force and uncontrollable without warning. The failure recurred and even though the sprayer sprayed uncontrollable, the wipers did not work. The contact also stated that the check engine light illuminated and stayed on prior to the current failure. The contact called the progressive Chevrolet dealer (330-879-3697, located at 8000 hills and dales rd NW, massillon, OH 44646) and was told to call the manufacturer. The manufacturer was and stated that there was no recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 126,000. Fe.
Whilst driving on the highway the engine shut down and lost power steering. Had to pull over on the side of the highway. At high speeds this is troubling. The powertrain and check engine light came on. Waited several minutes and car would restart and be operable but would repeat. Mechanic determined a faulty computer known as the powetrain control module (pcm) or engine control module (ecm). This part was replaced and has fixed the problem.
On two occasions now within a two week time frame, vehicle shuts off while driving. Both times I was in motion at approx. 25 to 35 mph. Get it over to put in park and it does start up so far. I have children and I commute on an extremely busy freeway. What if this failure occurs while I'm moving at 70mph plus? my mechanic has replaced some parts in hopes it was the problem. The check engine light is on/off for months but nothing of a major concern is showing up on the computer. I understand this vehicle has 150k miles but it should not be shutting down while driving. Please help.
The truck has been at a several times into a chevorlet dealer, the check engine light the reduced engine light and the traction control lights all come on at the same time and it causes a failure in which the vehicle losses 90% of power . The failure happens at random time and all weather and traffic conditions. I have had it at two dealers as well have contacted gm executive dept. They have claimed to be fixed several times but it still fails. The issue at hand is that in traffic conditions this failure proves to be a huge safety hazard for myself and other drivers on the road. Its not a used car issue as its an electrical failure issue. I have asked time and time again to have a gm field tech come look at the car but, they insist that the dealer fix it. I need someone more to see and understand the failure comes with at great risks of other drivers on the road. If you goggle this problem you will see others have the issue and I think its worth a recall if they can find a fix for it but after 3 years and several tries they are still unable to fix the issue.
Recently, I filled my gas tank & low fuel light warning displayed and low fuel light came on. Since then the check engine light is on steady (not blinking) most of the time. The fuel gauge floats back and forth never really letting you know it's true status. The dealers and public know about this issue- yet chevy refuses to take responsibility and fix the product. It is frustrating & nerve wracking to never know how much fuel you have at any given time, as well as the constant warning lights/ chimes during driving. This is the second serious issue I have had with this vehicle- just a month before had to repair safety issue of stabilitrak turning on at random, after twice it slowed my vehicle- without warning- on the thruway from 55 mph to about 20 mph. I had documentation of 4 trips to dealer for this concern within the first year of ownership but "the computer doesn't show a problem" so 5 years later I finally had the code show up after a close call almost accident. This concern is all over the internet as well & even with contacting Chevrolet & the nys attorney general they still only covered half the cost of the repair. Chevrolet needs to take responsibility for the safety of their products and obviously will not unless recalls are mandated- I urge you to do just that. Thank you.
A 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The air conditioning unit, harness and the master switch on the drivers side window failed. The check engine light illuminated whenever the vehicle was turned off. The master switch malfunction prevented all the windows from working properly. Only 1 speaker works radio plays at low volume.
When I did a routine fill up on my vehicle and upon restarting the car after completion, the fuel gauge showed empty and the low fuel light came on. I turned the vehicle off and then turned it back on and it still showed low fuel. As I was driving the vehicle home, I noticed the check engine light came on. After driving the vehicle for about 20 miles or so, the fuel gauge showed correctly and the check engine light went off. However, upon the next fill up, it did the same thing. Now, it is at the point that it doesn't register the gas in the vehicle at all. One minute it shows empty, the next it shows correctly, and then it slowly goes back to empty. I have to use the trip gauge to know how much gas I have in my vehicle at all times. The check engine light comes on every time the fuel gauge shows empty. Lately, over the last few days, the car is starting to hesitate as if it was going to stall on me upon take off. I am getting worried that this vehicle is going to stall on me as I am driving and cause an accident.

The engine light goes on sometimes and sometimes off or sometimes blinking. The car was taken in to check the computer read out to find it is a misfire and I was told the repair would cost almost $4000. 00. One time, the radio sounded 3 beeps and said "fire on", I shut off the car and it continued, took out the keys, still continued. Was told never heard of such a thing from the dealer and on star when I did a diagnostic . On star said my oil is registering -- however the car says 99% remains. Lights go dim especially when applying brakes and sometimes whenever. Check engine light comes on sometimes and then goes off. Sometimes flashes during idle and sometimes not. Since computer has been cleared, engine light has not come on for one day but the gas mileage is very bad since I had it in to check about the light. By the way, nothing was fixed but I was charged $148. 50 to find out my fairly new vehicle with 27,000 mis. Is broke. I was told the head needs replaced. They are having problems with them. Why do I have to pay for their problems?.
Purchased vehicle on 09-08, with roughly 45000, check engine light comes on and off, after several months of going back and forth at chevy dealer they determined it was a faulty cylinder head on the number four cylinder. Filed bbc complant and spoke with chevy who refused to do anything. Couple months later and approx mileage 60000, the fuel gauge no longer works causing me to run out of gas a couple different times. About the same time, the stability control system dash lights would intermittingly come on and off. I have not contacted chevy about the other two issues as I felt they would not do anything the same as the head problem.
