7 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2013

My fuel guage is starting to flucuate. I just filled it up and when I go down the road it will go down at least a quarter of a tank and when I stop and let it run idle for awhile it will go back to where it was. It just started this this past week. From what I am reading, it won't belong before I will have to spend another bunch of money into it. Last month I had to put a new throttle body on it because the sensors went bad and with this year the sensors are in the throttle body, so you have to buy the whole thing. As I was getting into the vehicle about a month ago, the part for the seat controls on the bottom side of the seat just busted off. Everytime it gets colder out, the stabilitrak system won't stay on. It was always off in the winter time, never worked. When living in michigan and getting lake effect snow alot of the time, it would be nice to have it available. I will never buy another gm product. Been buying them and my family members for more than 50 years, more and more of the newer vehicles have too many problems. I don't make that much money to keep putting money into a vehicle that is supposedly reliable and take days off of work to get them fixed. No thank you.

9 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 06/16/2012

Some of the items forthcoming happen all together and/or intermittently separate. The initial issues noticeably started upon my arrive in south carolina, but it was not something that immediately recognized before my relocation, because I thought it was something I did myself. I came out to my car on Saturday, 6/16/12. My car window was down and some items were stolen. I did not see any glass on the ground so I thought I left the window down myself and someone just stolen items. After speaking with the complex security and reporting the incident to hoa, I came out the truck again it smelled of wires burning and the window was down again. Several days later the tire pressure light was on and took the truck to get the wheels balanced and oil change at firestone. The tire pressure light would not go out, nor did the engine and oil light go out. A few months after that the smell of wires burning happened again and the engine remained on for over 2 weeks, then went off. In the late fall there was a really bad thunderstorm and when arrived to truck after work; running in rain, I saw that my window was down and I could not get the window back up for about 5 minutes. I was soaked and so was the car. The truck received an oil change recently and all the lights would not go out and the walmart mechanic who did the oil change stated that he smelled gas and some wires burning, lights on panel would not go out. Smell of wires burning. Engine light comes on and stays on for days-then goes off by itself. All lights emergency lights on panel intermittently on (oil/traction/tire pressure). Fuel gauge shows/clicks as full, smells like gas in truck and runs out of fuel with gauge showing full. Driver's window goes down when keys are not in truck. Heating knob on off, still blowing hot or cold air and gauge does not turn on past 2. Lights dim when using power button for windows.

10 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2011

The fuel gauge level indicator just went from "full" to "empty", it just went that fast. Minutes before it had just been filled at the gas station. When starting, the gauge rises then falls to empty. On occasions the warning message, "please tighten gas cap" comes on. Now months later, same problem; after contacting "gm" hotline, they still have not shown any concern. I keep track of miles driven since last fill-up and gas used, so I know when it is time to fill-up. I have read many same complaints, and I wonder why "gm" has not issued a recall. It is now 08/21/2012 and problem is still ongoing. Can you please help. Please. "gm" has on numerous occasions suggested that the wire harness on top of the gas tank needs to be replaced, to do so, requires a five (5) hour visit and they expect the customer to pay half the cost. Please help.

11 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 05/18/2011

I was starting to go up a hill at a speed of 56 mph and I swearved to miss a couple of skunks when the steering locked on the truck and I went into the ditch to the left and then rolled the truck three times. When the vechile was purchased in Nov 2010 I noticed the srs light was on and the dash light and his response was to bring it back for service after I made a pament, during the accident the airbags did not deploy and the towing company who came to get the truck they had to cut the battery out because they couldn't get the steering to unlock.

12 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 05/17/2010

I read about: gm recalling 1. 4 million vehicles for fire hazard by peter valdes-dapena, senior writerjune 9, 2010: 10:03 am et. While driving to work on may 17, 2010, I heard a loud "pop" and I immediately pulled over and called aaa. Approximately 10 minutes later, my 3 year old chevy Trailblazer had flames start shooting out of the hood. It was engulfed in flames soon thereafter. I thought it was steam, so if a NJ firefighter had not grabbed me out of the vehicle, I am not quite sure how this story would have ended. . .

14 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 01/30/2008

I was driving down the road in Jan. 08 and my Trailblazer died. I got it to the side of the road and it started up. I took it in to the dealership. They replaced the pcm. I was driving down the road in Feb. 08, vehicle put itself in 4 wheel drive and died. Roads were dry. Took it in to dealership, they updated calibrations for transfer case. On June 18, I was driving down the road and vehicle died. Took it to dealership, they had vehicle for 42 days. Unable to fix. They put a reader on it and said I need to drive it until it happens again. I called gm they said I need to keep driving it. I got the vehicle back on July 29. Drove it that night. Vehicle put itself in 4 wheel drive again. Took it back on July 30. Dealership replaced actuator. They told me that has nothing to do with vehicle dying and told me to keep driving. I am scared to drive this vehicle. I have asked for a replacement or our money back. I am so scared my family is going to be injured or killed in an accident or someone in front or behind me. It gives you no warning before it dies and it is hard to control.
