Tire Pressure Monitoring System problems of the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Two problems related to tire pressure monitoring system have been reported for the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem

Failure Date: 12/18/2013

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that the fuel sensor gauge indicated that the fuel tank was half full when the vehicle shut off because the fuel tank was empty. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the fuel gauge sensor was faulty. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also indicated that the tire air sensor indicated that air in the front drivers side tire was low but after inspecting the vehicle the contact discovered that air in the rear drivers side tire was low. The failure was not diagnosed nor was the vehicle repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was unavailable. The failure mileage was 80,000.

2 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem

Failure Date: 11/30/2007

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer 360. While driving approximately 20 mph, the tire pressure monitor light illuminated. After taking the vehicle in for repair, the service manager stated that the monitor was reset and repaired. On two occasions, a dealer attempted to diagnose the failure; however, the tire pressure light indicated the incorrect recommended tire pressure. The recommended tire pressure is 32 psi, but the monitor read 37 psi. The failure mileage was 400 and current mileage was 850. Updated 04/02/08. The consumer stated the problem has not been corrected. Updated.
